As Artificial Intelligence becomes an integral part of our daily lives and professional practices, it’s essential to remember that AI is a tool—not a replacement for our humanity. In this new era, our challenge isn’t just learning how to use AI, but understanding how to use it well—in ways that uphold and enhance the very human qualities that drive innovation: critical thinking, empathy, creativity, and ethical judgment.
This workshop introduces a new course currently in development that explores how to integrate AI meaningfully within the Human-Centered Design (HCD) framework. You'll learn how AI can support—not substitute—our ability to connect with communities, solve complex problems, and design for equity, inclusion, and impact. Together, we’ll explore how to stay grounded in our values while embracing the possibilities that AI offers.
